When I saw my teachers bother, I was exited. His name is Mr.Gardner. He works in the army. When we were talking it was 8:40 a.m. But over there it was 8:40p.m. He is 7,000 miles away.

We should be thankful for the people that fight  for are liberty. They risk their lives for us.  Many soldiers don't get spend their Christmas with their family. We should be thankful.

This morning my class got to talk to Ms. Gardner's brother on Skype. Her brother is in Iraq which is around 7,000 miles away. Skype is an online thing that allows you to talk to someone far away on a laptop or computer and be able to see them at the same time. We asked him questions about like what he does and what do you do. We did not get to talk to him very long so not all of us got to talk to him.

I am glad that we got to do this because it was fun. We will soon be Skypeing kids from a class in Oklahoma I hope soon. He said it was 8:00pm when with us it was only 9:00am. We were the only class that ever got to do this in the whole district. I did not get to talk to him because he did not have a lot of time.

It as fun talking to Mr. Gardner on Skype when he was in Iraq. We got to see where they are staying. Some of us go to ask him two questions about what he does there and stuff like that . It was cool because he was around seven thousand miles away from us. This is important because we get to talk to someone who is serving our country. There is also almost a eleven hour time change there. They were camped out at the Victory Army Base. You could see the tent behind him. He was in Baghdad in Iraq. I got to ask him a question when we saw him. This was cool talking to someone who is fighting in Iraq right now. This is important also because they will no be able to spend time with their family at Christmas instead they will be in Iraq fighting.
