Vocabulary Group (and anyone else who'd like to participate): Below is an example of how to publish your vocabulary work. It includes your word, what it means, what it doesn't mean, a word (or more than one) that you can make by rearranging the letters of your word, and a cartoon illustrating your word. Please follow the example, including the title and keywords choice. If you're from another class and would like to participate, feel free, but use your teacher's name in the keywords.

----------------------------Example Begins Below This Line---------------------------

Translate

When someone translates something, they change it from one language to another.

Similar words/synonyms: Another word like translate is change. Interpret can also be used to describe when someone changes something from one word to another.

Words that are dissimilar/antonyms: Words that are the opposite of translate are words that talk about making something more difficult to understand, like encrypt.

Using the letters of translate, here are some other words that I made:

slate, ran, tale, and talents.

Here's a cartoon with someone translating something:

This story is about an Egyptian boy named Gregorio. He lived in an empire with a pharaoh named Sahane which meant “strong”.

But one day as he was waling to school he saw a statue that looked like a sphinx and it scared him because he had never seen it. So he went home and told his mom, and his mom told him all about the things he had never seen such as a metropolis, sites, and about the momentous

Wedding of the pharaoh Sahane, and how intricate the wedding was.

So the next day when Gregorio woke up from his sleep he asked his mother to tell him more about their country and she did. She told him about the war in 1500 b.c. and how Egypt conquered the Mesopotamians. When they were celebrating the party was so adorned and shocked everyone.

The next thing that she told him about was when the entire city tried to fascinate the pharaoh. It didn’t really work because the pharaoh was mean. And that was the end of all the stories.                              The End!

This is a story about Bob, a hawk. Bob lived in New York City, a metropolis, when he took his daily flight around the city he was always fascinated with the sites like The Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. The New Year just started and Bob loved the adorned crystal ball that dropped. One day Bob got tired of the city and he made a momentous decision. He decided that he would leave the city and go to Egypt, once a great empire. On his flight Bob encountered many other hawks and they fought each other. He always conquered the other birds. Once Bob finally got to Egypt he wanted to go sight- seeing. He saw the Great Sphinx, then he went to see the tomb of the pharaoh Ramses II. The sarcophagus that held the pharaoh had intricate designs. After that, Bob decided he would stay in Egypt.
