Yosemite is a wonderful place full of nature ,  but Yosemite Falls is a place full of wonderful water.  Yosemite Falls is a very tall waterfall that is about 13 Niagara Falls which is huge and awesome.  The fall's drop is 2425 feet from top to bottom ,  and when it falls you can feel the water rumble down the fall.   During summer since it's really hot it can dry up , and when it gets cooler it will bloom back .   When you go to Yosemite Falls you might consider bringing a raincoat unless you want to get soaked up .

sequoias are great trees!!

Sequoias are 300 ft. tall 40 ft. around it's trunk.

They can live more than 3000 years old.

At about 2700 years old,the amazing tree is the oldest in Yosemite and 5th in the world.

Some Sequoias have nicknames like, Clothespin Tree, Siamese Twins, and my favorite, The Dead Giant.

Sequoias can only be located in the western slopes of the Serria, Navada mountains.

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK has many wonderful sights to visit for example, GLACIER POINT,EL CAPITAN,and GIANT

SEUOIAS.

First we are going to talk about Glacier Point. Glacier point is 3,200 feet a little more than 12 a mile straight down to the floor. Glacier point is a good place to see peregrine falcons. They can dive at speeds of 200 miles per hour and catch their prey in mid air. They nest in high places on very narrow rock ledges. You can climb to the top of Glacier point and see all of the beautiful sights.

Next we are going to talk about El Capitan . El Captain is such a beautiful mountain to go and visit. El Capitan is Spanish for (the captain). It is more than 3,600 feet from its base to its top. It can anywhere from several hours to several days to scale this rock. This is the biggest singe block of granite on Earth. The highest single waterfall on the North American continent is Ribbon Fall.

Last is Giant Sequoias. A Sequoia tree can grow to over 300 feet tall and 40 feet around , and can live more than 3,00 years. At about 2,700 years old, the Grizzly Giant is the oldest tree in the park and the fifth oldest in the world. With some of the trees you can walk through!

Finally I have to leave all of the sequoia trees and say good bye to Glacier point and El Capitan and go home.

Yosemite is a wonderful place were people can hike up the mountains, take pictures, and walk around the park. About 95% of the park is wilderness and the only way to get around there is by foot, but it is still a lot of fun. So many people travel to Yosemite National Park because of the towering Sequoia trees, the Beautiful waterfalls, gigantic mountains, and the amazing rivers .

The biggest mountain there is Mount Lyell. Mt. Lyell is 13,114 feet tall. The first person to climb Mt. Lyell was John Tileston. Mt. Lyell also has the largest glacier, which is called the Lyell Glacier.

Yosemite has some of the biggest waterfalls in the world. Yosemite Falls is made up of three drops. The total drop is as high as 13 Niagara Falls

Yosemite Park

Why do so many people visit Yosemite National Park? I would visit there too. My opinion why so many people would visit Yosemite National Park is because it had Indians living there, it has so many giant sequoia trees, also it has a beautiful water falls, and a big block of granite called El Capitan. The sequoia trees are the largest trees in the world. They are a beautiful color and have lots of leaves. The water falls are Cristal clear and fall straight down into the stream. It looks like some spilled water going down a counter! El Capitan is Spanish for “ the Capitan”. It is 3,600 feet from the base to the top. Visitors can climb it. There are also wild animals something like bobcats or different colored grizzly bears. That is why I think so many people visit there.

Yosemite National Park

Wow,” Look at that beautiful waterfall! One reason so many people come Yosemite national park is because there are so many interesting things there like waterfalls, valleys, high mountains, and even more.

One of the interesting things is Yosemite Falls because they are the highest waterfalls in North America.

Another interesting thing is the animals. One of the animals is the mule deer. The mule deer likes to graze and can jump 24 feet in a single leap!

I think another reason why so many people come to the park because of it's giant sequoias tree. Giant sequoias can grow up to over 300 feet tall and over 40 feet around, too. Badger Pass one of the interesting things, too. Badger Pass is a popular ski spot, it opened in 1935 and was California's first ski area.

El Capitan is another interesting thing ,too. El Capitan is the biggest block of granite on earth. It is more than 3600 feet tall from it's base to its top.

In conclusion, these are some of the interesting things in Yosemite national park that make people want to go to the park.

Your landing and your parents say your going to Yosemite and you think it's boring but it's not this will tell you all the wonderful things in Yosemite. things that attract people to Yosemite is the fantastic water falls because the sound of the water fall makes a wonderful sound like a thump! thump! thump. Watching it is so cool because the water is coming down rapidly. But the best part is the view when you over look it you  might just see a rainbowYosemite waterfall.

The next thing that makes people return to Yosemite is the wildlife because you never know what's popping up everywhere, here are some animals you might see bats, bob cats, bears, birds, and California horned sheep.Watch out on the roadside their are some wildlife eating grass.Moose

But the main thing people come is for nature to relax instead of being in the smoky city, and the great actives like going bird watching, rafting on Merced River, and climb El Capitan. If your tired after all of that go to Glacier Point and watch the sunset. When you leave you will want to return a lot of people do.Hopefully this will change your mind of thinking Yosemite is boring. Thank You!El Capitan
