Anne Frank's story is a sad one
No dry eye off the readers
Yet it is memorable
It teaches us to be strong during hard times
Even though it can be very hard

You'd cry and cry for days

Your friend

Your family member

Your mind turns into a maze

They will never be back

You'll never see them again

You wonder why am I being punished

You become depressed

Every day is slow

You push everyone away

Close ones try to cheer you

Even though they are saddend too

They are dead

You cry and cry for days

The conflict between the dragon and the people of the kingdom was bad because they couldn't talk to the dragon otherwise he would torture them even more. It would be a 10 on the hardness scale. Especially if every one in the kingdom is afraid of the dragon. Though the cobbler's sons were brave enough to battle the fierce dragon one son at a time, the youngest son must have been very frightened, if his eldest brother, the smartest of the whole kingdom, was defeated by the dragon and the middle brother who was the strongest was defeated by the dragon. The youngest son listened to his father's advice and stated a ridicules poem to the dragon and defeated him, unlike his brother. The kingdom was very happy to find that the dragon would never torture them again, and the youngest son was happy because he got the princesses hand in marriage.

"The Southpaw" was a very, very, very good short story. Even though it was short the author wrote the plot, conflict and the revision. I totally loved how the author had two kids, a boy and a girl, writing on sticky notes in an argument, over something stupid.

My favorite character was definitely Janet, but not because she is a girl like me, but because the only other character, Richard, was too annoying. He sort of copied Janet after she wrote, "I hope when you go to the dentist he finds 20 cavities!" and then surprise, surprise, wrote to Janet, ''I hope when you go for your check-up you need your tetanus shot!''

In my perspective Richard wasn't being very nice and was being very rude when he wouldn't let Janet play on the "boys'' baseball team just because she is a girl, "As long as I'm team captain no girls will play on the Mapes Street Baseball,'' Richard commented on a sticky note. Janet made a good argument, especially when she told him her batting average. Her average was a whopping .345!! In case you don't know anything about baseball, like me, that is amazing!! Most players average about .250. Until I started researching this report I had no clue what the average baseball average. I wish that, that was my baseball average. Luckily, that has never happened to me, and I'm glad it hasn't, but some of my best friends have been treated that way. My friend Alison wasn't allowed to play soccer with her brother and his friends because she was a girl. In the Holocaust Jews were limited on what they could do, where they could go, who they could see by the Nazis because of Adolf Hitler. Your probably thinking this is stupid it only happens in stories well, you are wrong it happens all the time to a lot of people including boys, girls, collage students, elementary students, women and men. The list goes on and on and on. In my opinion, Janet was rude, but funny when she wrote, "Congratulations on your unbroken record. Eight straight losses, wow!! I understand you're the laughingstock of New Jersey."

I also loved Janet's character because she was very determined in the argument. She won the argument and was able to play baseball with some of her friends on a girls and boys team, not only because of her determination, but also because of the fact that most of the players on the original team moved away, were sick, broke a bone or they were too busy to commit to playing baseball.

Conflict can be over envy and many other things. I think conflict can sometimes be bad and unreasonable. It can lead to recklessness and former friendships. Conflict can also lead to menacing and destructive human beings. There is also a type of conflict that is good. When you are fighting against someone who is doing something wrong you are trying to get them to do good. So, no conflict is not always bad.

Title of Book: The Diary of a Young Girl
Author: Anne Frank

Summarize the book. What were the main points?
This diary is written by a young girl named Anne Frank. She receives her diary on her 13th birthday and shortly after, with her Jewish family, must move into hiding. During World War II Germans all over Europe were forcing Jews into concentration camps where many Jews were killed or died of hunger and disease. The Frank family included Anne's father, Otto, her mother, Eidith, and her older sister, Margot. Anne's family were joined with another Jewish family, the Van Danns and Drussell, who is a Jewish doctor. While Anne is in hiding, she writes a series of letters describing the two years in the "Secret Annex", an area above her fathers business. Her diary, which I am sure she never expected anyone to read is so honest, she describes her inner most thought and feelings. Anne writes about everything including her hopes about the future, her fears of the Germans and her memories of her life before the war. Anne writes about the people that help her family and bring them items weekly. Throughout the diary Anne changes and matures. In the beginning of the diary she is so critical of everyone and everything and this changes with age. Toward the end, she is capable of seeing others points of views and is less upset with the people she hides with.

What were some of the unique or interesting things you learned from the book?
I learned the lengths to which people risked their lives while hiding Jews during World War II. I didn't even know people did that for the Jews. I hope I am brave enough to step up to a challenge if ever I a am faced with one like that. I also learned how hard Jews lives were shortly before the war. They were excluded from everything, including, public schools, stores, transportation, restaurants, and even riding their bicycles. I couldn't even begin to imagine being excluded from all those things. Another observation about the diary I learned was how similar 13 year olds today and 80 years ago are. Anne liked and disliked so many things just like kids today. She enjoyed reading about movie stars, she would fix her hair like some of them just the same way we do today. Anne wrote about boys she liked and how frustrated she was with her mom. She didn't think anyone understood her. That sounds like a thirteen year old today!!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend this book to a friend because it shows how brave people can be and sympathetic to those who are picked on. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who had a short period of time to read. This book although not very many pages takes longer to read than any other book I have read.

You drop a perfectly inflated kickball off a ten-story building onto a cement sidewalk. But it only bounces back up a few inches. Why?

I Am Emily

I am a smart person who loves animals.

I hope that I will one day be a lawyer.

I dream that I will write a book.

I am a smart person who loves animals.

I feel scared when I read murder books.

I hear my puppy barking.

I see her prance like a reindeer.

I say peace to the world.

I am a smart person who loves animals.

Imagine no brothers or sisters a lot of you are probably thinking yes!!! Nobody to annoy me during homework or nobody to criticize my drawing that took me a long time to do Well, by the end of my speech I’m going to persuade you to imagine the opposite You would be thinking I’m lucky to have a sibling like Taylor or I wish I had another brother and sister. I have not 1, not 2, not 3, oh wait I do have 3. Where was I… oh yes I have 3 reasons that will have you imagining the opposite.

First of all older brothers and sisters can help you with homework. There is a better chance that you would get them all correct if you older siblings helped because they just learned it and your parents learned it 25-30 years ago. If you don’t have any brothers or sisters call your older cousin and ask him or her to help you otherwise you’d have to talk to your mom, dad, or you could go on the internet.

If you don’t have any siblings you would be bored a lot of the time especially if you can’t play with your friends for whatever reason. For example the other day my friend, who is an only child, was at home. She asked her mom if she could go to a friend’s house, but her mom said no, because she had nothing to do she had to do extra chores.

My third and final reason starts wait for it, wait for… and now. When your parents get older your brothers and sisters can help you make decisions about them. For example your parents are old and feeble, you’re the one taking care of them, and they live in your house. It’s your anniversary, and your husband or wife wants to go on a three week cruise. All the nursing homes are full, what are you going to do. That is where your brothers and sisters come in. If you don’t have any brothers or sisters ask your cousin or somebody you can truly trust and make sure your parents are comfortable with whom they stay with. If you really think about it, it is a very hard decision.

Now let’s go over what I just told you. Reason 1: Older siblings can help you with homework, after all they did just learn it. Reason 2: if you didn’t have any siblings you would be bored a lot of the time. Reason 3; When your parents get older your siblings can help make decisions about them.

True siblings can be annoying but you know you really love them. By a show of hands how many of you thought the opposite. I told you so. Thank you

This is the beginning of my toastmasters speech.I hope you like it.

Imagine no brothers or sisters. A lot of you are probably thinking yes!!!!!!  Nobody to annoy me during homework. or no one to laugh at my drawing that took me a long time to do. Well, by the end of my speech, I will have persuaded you to imagine the opposite. You're thinking, "I'm lucky to have a sibling like Taylor or I wish I had another brother or sister."

So rate the begining 1-10 with 1 being the worst.

The Autobiography of Emily H.

“Pass it to me,” I shouted to my teammate. She passed the ball to me and I ran over to the goal with the ball, shot…..goal!!!!! Everyone cheered my name. I couldn’t believe that I scored the winning goal!! I was so excited my mom was very proud so she gave me $5.00

Ages 1-4: Hi my name is Emily.  I was born on August 16, 1998 which is the anniversary of Elvis’ death. My sister was born on a rainy day in February of 2001. I flew to Missouri four times and received a turtle for Christmas. When we went to Missouri we also went to Iowa and Nebraska. While we were there we celebrated my 3rd birthday and ages two and under were aloud on for free, but my mom said I was two so that I could get in for free. So my dad starts to brag about me and talks about my 3rd birthday that I celebrated in Missouri. Conveniently the flight attendant walked by and overheard my dad talking so she made us pay for my ticket.

Ages 5-8: I cooked in front of a camera in 3rd grade for a report. I took ballet, tap, and played soccer with one of my best friends, Brooke. I had my first communion with another one of my best friends, Caitlyn. My cousin and I went to Y.M.C.A. Camp Lakewood in Missouri.

Ages 9-11: I went on a cruise to Mexico. I became lost on the cruise and was reunited with my family over two hours later!!!!! I went to Lake Naciemento and was the first one of our large group to get up on our water skiis(well I wasthe first one to tryy I went to Yosemite twice with the De’jong family.

Future: In my future I hope to receive a scholarship to Harvard University so I can study law to become a lawyer. In my extra time I’d play soccer and be a photographer. When I am in my 40’s and 50’s I hope that I would be able to do a full or a back hand spring so I can show my children and my grand children how to do it just like how my great grandma showed my mom and my aunts and uncles. I want them to be very healthy. I don’t want to die in pain. I’d rather die in my sleep when I’m 130. Truthfully I don’t want to die, but I know I’ll have to sometime.
