Courageous, Nobel, Loving

These are words, big words that describe a great man.

Courageous for making everyone equal. Courageous for standing up for his race. Courageous for never abadoning his beliefs. Courageous for stopping segregation.

Nobel for giving a speechh from his heart in front of millions of people. Nobel for making Negroes free. Nobel for following his dreams. Nobel for standing up for everyone.

Loving for following God. Loving for following Jesus Christ. Loving for never giving up. Loving for just believing.

This man is Martin Luther King Jr. Let us all follow in his footsteps.

With 8 legs, a long tail, and huge wings, this animal is a very interesting animal that scientists have now discovered. It is called, " The Quagsire".

The "Quagsire" has 8 legs that helps it climb trees. His stickiness helps him hang upside down when he sleeps. He also runs so fast that when he runs across water, he won't even fall in!

The Quagsire's long, monkey, and steel like tail helps it swing from branches when it's being chased. His tail helps him when he sleeps incase his toes slip off the branch. He can defend himself by wacking someone with his steel like tail and the enemy will be knocked out for a year!

The Quagsire's wings helps it escape from enemies if he can't get away. His wings help it migrate because Quagsires are too lazy to run. Also it's wings help it blend in the warm snow so it won't be spotted.

Now go out and try to find that Quagsire!

A rainforest is a forest that gets a lot of rain every year. Almost every rainforest in the world crosses over the equator!

2. What kinds of rainforest are there?

There are many kinds of rainforests. Four of them are a tropical rainforest,  a temperate rainforest, a deciduous rainforest, and a coniferous rainforest.

3. Why is there so little sunlight at ground level in a tropical rainforest?

There is so little sunlight on the forest's floor because the canopy takes up almost all the sunlight in the tropical rainforests

4. List three animals you might find in a tropical rainforest.

The three animals you might find in a raiforest are a tiger, a spider monkey, and a toucan.

5. List three animals you might find in a temperate rainforest.

You might find a toucan, monkeys, and a tiger.

6. What is the "canopy?"

The "canopy" is a layer in the rainforest that takes up most of the sunlight above the understory and the forest floor.

7. What is an "evergreen?"

An "evergreen" is a tree that has leaves that has leaves that stay green all year long.

8. What is a "conifer?"

A "conifer" is a tree that has leaves that are called pine needles. They are also evergreen trees.

9. Follow one of the research links at the bottom of the site. Tell which topic you researched, and list some interesting facts you learned.

I researched the rainforest. One fact I learned is that a tropical rainforest can get up to 180 inches of rain every year!

  The Enchanted Pumpkin

                                                                              BOOOOOOOOO!

                Once upon a time, on Halloween night, there was a lady named Amy that was carving a pumpkin for her famous amazing pumpkin pie. It was a full moon and the werewolf was howling. The kids were trick or treating all ready. Amy said, " Wow,  this sure is one huge pumpkin!" The power went out and Amy started to freak out! Then Amy remembered that she had a spare candle. So she went into her room and got her candle out. Then she lit her candle.

Once her candle was lit, she started to carve her pumpkin and then...   "STOP!" the pumpkin shouted.  Amy was in shock. Amy stared at the pumpkin for a second and then said, "You can speak?" "Well yeah." the pumpkin said. Then the pumpkin started to glow. "Why are you glowing?" she asked. The pumpkin said , "You ask why, huh? Well the reason why I'm glowing is because it's Halloween, right?" Amy said, "Yeah." "And It's a full moon, right?"

Amy said,"Yeah." The pumpkin said, "Then that means that I'm an enchanted pumpkin." "Do you want me to carve you?" Amy asked. "NO!" the pumpkin yelled. Amy said, "Why not?" The pumpkin said, "Because I'm the last glowing pumpkin on Earth." Amy asked, "Are there any other enchanted pumpkins?" "No." the pumpkin said.

Then the door bell rang Amy slowly opened the door then..... "Trick or treat!" the kids said. "Here you go kids." Amy said. "Okay, lets get back to our conversation." Amy said.  Amy said,"Okay, was I.....OH, thats right. "Why aren't there any more enchanted pumpkins." Amy said.  The pumpkin said, "Because, they were all chopped up into pumpkin pie." "Why?" asked Amy. The pumpkin said, "Because all the other humans didn't listen to them."

        " Why didn't they listen to them?" Amy asked. The pumpkin said, " Because they didn't believe in enchanted pumpkins."      " Why didn't they beileve in them?" Amy asked. " I don't know. They just didn't believe in them. So they just cut them up." the pumpkin said. Amy asked, " Do you think I should just keep you so that you'll survive forever?" The pumpkin said, " Sure."  So Amy went out to the pumpkin patch and picked out two more pumpkins. When she got home she cut open a pumpkin and took all the seeds out to make her pumpkin pie.

        Then Amy started to carve a pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern. Amy made a really scary face. It was so scary it could scare anyone. After that Amy was about to put the enchanted pumpkin next to a candle to keep him warm. Then the pumpkin asked,   " By the way, what's your name?" Amy said, " My name is Amy. Then Amy asked, " What's your name?" " My name is Carl." the pumpkin said. Amy asked, " Would you like to stay here?" Carl said, " Yes, yes I would." Amy said, " If your wondering why I asked it's because now that you told me that story I really care for you." " Oh." Carl said.

        So from there on to today Amy and Carl will live together forever and have a " Happily ever after. "

what is my rule?

  One day when I was visiting my grandparents at their house for the weekend with my dad, mom,and my brother "Jamal".  I got up from my comfy bed and my grandpa made pancakes for breakfast. Then I changed into my clothes and watched a movie with my dad, mom, grandma, and grandpa. We watched all three Lilo and Stitch movies. After that, we all went outside and played catch. Then it was time for bed.

         I crawled into my warm bed and went to sleep. The next morning my dad took us out to "IHOP" for breakfast. When we got back from breakfast we all played monopoly 2000. After the game was over, I asked my grandpa if I could go into the attic. Then he said" Yes, but your mom or dad has to go with you. Any ways.....why do you want to go up there." Then I said" Because I've seen every part of your house except the attic.

        Then my grandpa made some cupcakes. After he made the cupcakes, I went up into the attic. I had to go up alone because my dad got stuck in the cupcakes. So I went up the creaky ladder. The attic was dark and scary with spiders and webs.

         It was very scary in the attic and it made me shiver like I was freezing like crazy. Then I walked all around the attic. Then I saw a little trunk that looked like a treasure chest. It was unlocked, so I could open the trunk. Once I opened the trunk I found a picture of my grandpa with his family when he was young.

          Then I found a picture of my grandma when she was young. Then my dad came up and walked over to me and looked down at the pictures. Then the window burst open and sunlight in. Then my grandpa came up and walked over to me and then I ran over to him and hugged him. Then we walked down stairs and I asked him what his childhood was like. Then he started talking about his childhood for the rest of the day.
